Human Line 1 Assay
Human Line 1, long interspersed elements, makes up about 15% of human genome and contain much of the CpG methylation found in normal postnatal somatic tissues. Pyrosequencing methylation analysis of Line1 element can be used as a routine method to measure global DNA methylation level in different human DNA samples.- We use Biotage's PyroMark Line 1 RUO for global methylation analysis.
- Four CpG dinucleotides are analyzed in each Line 1 element.
- Each of the four CpG sites can be partially methylated.
